The article contains an analysis of the unexplored problem of perception of the old age by Russian noblewomen at the 18th the Middle of the 19th century in the context of new directions of the Russian historiography - of the history of everyday life, the history of women and gender. Using ego-documents, such as memoirs, diaries, letters, the author specifies the valuable importance of the final age of a life. A subject of the special analysis is the interpretation of a phenomenon of the female old age through self-descriptions of the elderly provincial noblewomens daily life.
